After going through the simultaneous equations, i realised that some are very careless when they reach the step shown below.
After going through the simultaneous equations, i realised that some are very careless when they reach the step shown below.

Some tend to write x = 15 - 30 = -15, which is wrong.
x is multiplied by 30 on the left. Hence, if we were to bring 30 over to the right. the number 15 should be divided by 30. Remember? The = sign is like a mirror. Divide is the mirror image of multiply, vice versa
Hence, the solution to the above equation will be x = 15/30 = 1/2
Is there anyone else who likes to share with us alternative ways to understand this concept or any practices that one can take in order to avoid making such a careless mistake?
