Q: If a particular 365-day year starts on a Wednesday. What day will the next year start on?
Solution:
365 days = 52 weeks and 1 day.
Take Wednesday as the 1st day of the 1st week ...
Wed -- Thurs -- Fri -- Sat -- Sun -- Mon -- Tue [this is 1 week]
Therefore, it is clear that the 52th week ends on a Tue.
Remember the year is made up of 52 weeks AND 1 day. So the last day of the year will be the day after Tuesday, which is a Wednesday.
By now the answer should be obvious. The next year starts on the day after Wed, which is a THURSDAY.
Why is this useful? If you have noticed, let say your birthday falls on a Monday this year... it will fall on a Tuesday next year... and for the year after the next year, it will be a Wednesday. However this is only true for 365-day years, not 366-day year.
The 2nd question is slightly more challenging.. In fact it is one of the types of questions tested in maths competitions that require high degree of thinking. Nevertheless, the logic behind this question is the same as the first one. Try it out!!
Q: A particular month has 5 Tuesdays. The first and last day of the month are not Tuesday. What day is the last day of the month?

that was interesting in other words fun!! :)
for the second question it only works in months with 31 days if the starting day must not be tuesday the ending day of the month will be ONLY WEDNESDAY
